SAMCO Covers: Better Performance, Longer Lasting
SAMCO is the technical leader in roll rebuilding and recovering for the pulp, paper and converting industries.
Our R&D program has developed many of the materials and processes that make SAMCO roll covers perform better and last longer than any competitive product.
We literally manufacture our own rubber compounds, polyurethane and other composites from raw materials here at our plant in Farmington, New Hampshire. Our computer-controlled metering and mixing programs are verified by batch analyses in our quality control lab before application to rolls. That's one of the reasons our return rate is under 1% compared to the industry average of over 10%.
We continuously invest in new equipment and technology, from state of the art autoclaves and CNC machining centers to our new polyurethane rotational caster for the application of seamless covers. CNC controlled multi-spindle drilling machines allow SAMCO to do complete rebuilds and covers on all suction roll applications.
Our trained mechanics and engineers perform complete evaluation and documentation of every roll before and after recovering, including crown and high speed balancing for rolls that operate up to 8,500 feet per minute. We also provide complete suction roll and press roll rebuilds that restore them to "like new" operating condition.
SAMCO's technical field service staff can help you evaluate your operating and standby roll conditions, assist in outage planning and, with our newest service the SAMCO nip load profiler you have a highly effective tool for performance evaluation and predictive maintenance.
